I’d never buy one of these online, but I checked the reviews and comments, and looks like it actually ships fine. They even gave it 5 stars

Its a good one. My first layer didn’t stick a few times, but that was easily fixed by re-calibrating. Overall, decent printer for the price!

Same. Had some first-layer issues too, but once I figured it out, the prints have been solid. Not the best quality for super detailed stuff, but good for simple projects.

Flashforge Adventurer 5M 3D Printer: Should You Buy It?

Highlights and Advantages:

  • Fully automatic bed leveling for effortless setup and consistent prints.
  • Enclosed build chamber for improved print quality and material consistency.
  • Compact and user-friendly design ideal for both beginners and experienced users.

Similars:

  • Creality Ender 3 V2: Offers a larger build volume than the Adventurer 5M.
  • Prusa Mini+: Known for its exceptional print quality and ease of use, though potentially more expensive.
  • Anycubic Vyper: Features a significantly faster print speed compared to the Adventurer 5M.

What You Need to Know Before Buying:

Before purchasing any 3D printer, including the Flashforge Adventurer 5M, consider the following technical aspects:

  • Space requirements: Measure your available workspace to ensure the printer fits comfortably. Account for space needed around the printer for easy access and filament storage.
  • Filament compatibility: Check the printer's compatibility with the types of filaments you plan to use (PLA, ABS, PETG, etc.).
  • Software and connectivity: Familiarize yourself with the printer's slicing software and its connection methods (USB, Wi-Fi). Ensure your computer meets the software requirements.
  • Power requirements: Verify the printer's voltage requirements match your local power supply.

Extra Tips:

  1. Read user reviews and compare different models before making a decision.
  2. Consider your skill level and the complexity of the projects you want to print.
  3. Look into the printer's warranty and support options.
  4. Factor in the cost of filament and any necessary maintenance supplies.
  5. Think about your long-term needs and whether you anticipate needing to upgrade in the future.
