How many do you need to properly light an 8' tree?

I used two 66ft lights last year for a 7 ft tree. It was barely enough. You can probably get by with two but three would probably be ideal.

66' Govee Smart RGBIC 200LED Christmas Lights: Should You Buy?

Highlights and Advantages:

  • Vibrant RGBIC Color Technology: Experience stunning, individually customizable color zones for dynamic lighting effects.
  • Smart Home Integration: Seamlessly control your lights via app, voice assistant (Alexa, Google Assistant), or scheduling features.
  • Extensive Length and Brightness: The 66-foot length and 200 LEDs provide ample coverage and bright illumination.

Similar Products:

  • Philips Hue Outdoor Lights: Generally offers better app control and a wider range of smart home compatibility.
  • Twinkly Lights: Superior individual LED control for more precise animation and effects.
  • Auraglow Smart LED Strip Lights: Usually available at a lower cost, potentially sacrificing some features or brightness.

What You Need to Know Before Buying:

Before purchasing any smart LED strip lights, consider the following technical aspects:

  • Power Supply: Ensure your power outlet can handle the power requirements of the lights. Some require specific power adapters.
  • Connectivity: Check for compatibility with your existing smart home ecosystem (e.g., Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa). Verify that the app is user-friendly and has good reviews.
  • Installation: Carefully measure the area where you plan to install the lights to ensure the length is sufficient. Consider the ease of installation and if you need extra materials like clips or adhesive strips.

Extra Tips:

  1. Read user reviews carefully before purchasing to get an idea of real-world performance and potential issues.
  2. Consider the type of adhesive used and whether it's suitable for your surfaces.
  3. Explore the app's features thoroughly before installing, understanding things like scene creation and custom color palettes.
  4. Think about the placement of the lights and how they'll look in different areas of your home or outdoor space.
  5. Check the warranty and return policy in case of defects or malfunctions.
