iBUYPOWER Scale Gaming PC: i5 14400F, RTX 4060, 16GB DDR5, 1TB SSD
5 Comments
Looking for a budget gaming rig for my son. Not sure if I should wait a bit in hopes of a 4060ti for only slightly more or just bite the bullet here.
For $700 this is a good deal and great for 1080p gaming. I do suggest waiting for cyber Monday though for deals.
Yeah, it's Best Buy so you can just buy it - don't open it. Wait a couple weeks to see if there is an epic deal (likely a little more money but maybe 32GB ram, 2TB drive or maybe a card like the stronger 7700XT) you can score. If not, first week of December crack it open and make sure its all good then enjoy itÂ
Get that awesome $800-$1k deal? Return this in person, no sweat, no shipping.
This being a DDR5 version vs a DDR4 kit is already a step up in its favor.
16GB of RAM is solid for gaming, right?

Yeah, looks like, and DDR5 makes it even better. Plus, 1TB SSD is huge!

What You Need to Know Before Buying
Before purchasing a pre-built gaming PC like the iBUYPOWER Scale, carefully consider your power supply needs (ensure your PSU is adequate for future upgrades) and the physical dimensions of the tower to ensure it fits your desk or gaming setup. Also verify the included operating system (Windows version) and check for any customization options if needed (e.g., additional storage or specific peripherals).
Extra Tips
- Read online reviews from multiple sources to get a comprehensive picture of user experiences.
- Check the manufacturer's warranty and return policy.
- Compare the specifications of this PC to your desired games' recommended or minimum requirements.
- Consider the long-term upgradability of the system, specifically the motherboard's capabilities.
