Oh, Spiritual sequel only, i guess. The original Chrono Cross had zero tie-ins to Trigger. I believe this edition has some added story elements to loosely tie the two together. Sounds great

That is incorrect. Even in the original, the Chrono Trigger cast factor into the story and even appear in some flashbacky stuff and if I explain the how, I believe they would be spoilers. 🤐
