The cost of this printer is literally the same as just the ink.

I’m considering this for printing invoices and school forms a couple of times a week. How’s the Wi-Fi setup? I’ve had bad luck with printers that constantly lose connection.

the wifi setup’s pretty straightforward, took me about 10 minutes. As long as your network is stable, it stays connected. But if you print often, you might want to look into the Epson EcoTank ET-2760. Ink is way cheaper in the long run

  • EcoTank sounds nice, but I’m not sure I want to spend that much upfront.

PIXMA TS3722 Wireless All-in-One Printer: Should You Buy It?

Highlights and Advantages

  • Compact and space-saving design, perfect for small homes or offices.
  • Wireless connectivity for easy printing from smartphones and computers.
  • All-in-one functionality: print, scan, and copy in a single device.

Similares

  • HP DeskJet 2755e: Generally offers lower running costs per page due to different ink cartridge setup.
  • Epson EcoTank ET-2760: Uses refillable ink tanks, significantly reducing long-term ink expenses.
  • Canon PIXMA TS3322: A slightly cheaper entry-level model with similar features, but potentially slower print speed.

What You Need to Know Before Buying

Before purchasing this (or any) home printer, consider:

  • Print volume: How often will you be printing? High-volume users might benefit from printers with higher-capacity ink tanks or more robust build quality.
  • Connectivity: Ensure your devices (smartphones, laptops, etc.) are compatible with the printer's connectivity options (Wi-Fi, USB). Check for any specific app requirements.
  • Ink costs: Research the cost of replacement ink cartridges. Long-term ink costs can significantly outweigh the initial printer price. Look at the page yield of each cartridge.
  • Paper size and type: Check if the printer supports the paper sizes and types you regularly use (photo paper, cardstock, etc.).

Extra Tips

  1. Read online reviews from other users to get a sense of real-world performance and potential issues.
  2. Check the warranty offered by the manufacturer.
  3. Consider the printer's noise level if it will be used in a quiet environment.
  4. Look for driver availability for your operating system.
  5. Think about future needs – will you need to print photos frequently, or mostly documents? This influences the ink type and print speed you'll value most.
